New Collection Coming Soon!

It's been a little while coming but the new collection for 2010 is almost here. We are just putting the last finishing touches to the designs and then they will be uploaded to the website and rolled out through our stockists. Some of the new collection is already on there such as the Oriel Hair Band, £135.00 (pictured) - a beautiful hair accessory mounted on a camouflaged band to blend in with the Brides hair colour and which nestles just next to the ear. What I Get Up To...

Hello,

My name is Gail and I'm the designer behind Glass Oyster. I design and hand make "Unique Treats" - bridal headdresses. Each design is a total one off and usually requires me sewing for hours and hours - sometimes dropping off in front of the TV! I use a mixture of tiny vintage and modern beads, lace, organza or other fabric remnants and re-worked pieces of jewellery in my designs.

I love florals so you will see a lot of those in my work. I would say my style is romantic with a hint of vintage and a pinch of glamour.

I'm also a lover of all things hand made and hand crafted so I tend to share a lot about great designers I come across.

I'm very lucky to live in a beautiful part of Hampshire in the UK - slap bang in the middle of the South Downs National Park. A Scot originally, I share my home with my husband, two children, one cat and two hamsters called "Teddy" and "Laser".
